  OTHER gods Psalm 16:1-11 Devotional:- “Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take up their names on my lips.” (v.4) NKJV When people are caged in the spirit of idolatry. It will take God to deliver them. This spirit enslaves them in an endless journey of sorrow. They keep moving on in their wicked and painful sacrifices till they enter into their pit of regrets. This is because wickedness makes people seek the devil for a solution. It is either that they want spiritual aid for promotion, money, or power that they are not entitled to. Since they think that God’s way seems to be slow, they then turn to the devil for faster ways and evil results that look temporarily good. Sons of men need to know that the evil of “get it quick at all costs” is foolishness. GRATITUDE 

1 Thessalonians 5:16-22
“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (Vs. 18) NKJV


    Any time we find it difficult to give thanks to God, it is because we are in a great confusion. The word of God said, God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). Humanity often find themselves in confusion because we really do not know God or exercise patient enough to follow His ways.
We often want to praise the Lord because of what He has done. I want to challenge your reasons for praising the Lord. A major reason we should praise the Lord is because He is our God. He is our father, our Lord and our redeemer (Revelation 5:9-10, Galatians 3:13-14). Do you know that you honour your parents not because of what they do or do not? You simply honour them because they are your parents. You know you came to the world through them (Hebrews 12:8-10). Even, if they discipline you yesterday when you wake up in the morning you still greet and honour them. So also, is our Heavenly Father. 

We should praise God always, because He is our father, our owner, our controller and Lord. It does not matter whether you have eaten or not, He is still your God. So, we should give thanks to Him always as true disciples of Christ. Then we will always remain in the will of God. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to truly take you as my owner in life

“IF YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR PARENT, YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR GOD”

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
