SHARING YOUR FEELING

SHARING YOUR FEELING Hebrews 4:11-16 Devotional:- “For we do not have an high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness… (V. 15)” It is not always very easy for people to understand us, especially when we pass through challenges and are weak. Even those who want to understand and sympathise could get to a level and turn back. Sometimes, instead of people sympathising with us, they constitute a panel of judges and begin to point accusing fingers at us.  As part of the act of love of Jesus, the scripture we read today says, He sympathises with us in our situation. In other words, He knows exactly what you are going through, both the one you can explain and the one you cannot. He could feel exactly the way you feel. The Bible says, He has suffered as we do. Even if you are struggling with a weakness or a sin, He has also been in the flesh. He knows how painful your feelings are. He cannot reject you, and He identifies with you and still loves you. GRATITUDE

GRATITUDE

1 Thessalonians 5:16-22
“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (Vs. 18) NKJV

Any time we find it difficult to give thanks to God, it is because we are in a great confusion. The word of God said, God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). Humanity often find themselves in confusion because we really do not know God or exercise patient enough to follow His ways.
We often want to praise the Lord because of what He has done. I want to challenge your reasons for praising the Lord. A major reason we should praise the Lord is because He is our God. He is our father, our Lord and our redeemer (Revelation 5:9-10, Galatians 3:13-14). Do you know that you honour your parents not because of what they do or do not? You simply honour them because they are your parents. You know you came to the world through them (Hebrews 12:8-10). Even, if they discipline you yesterday when you wake up in the morning you still greet and honour them. So also, is our Heavenly Father.

We should praise God always, because He is our father, our owner, our controller and Lord. It does not matter whether you have eaten or not, He is still your God. So, we should give thanks to Him always as true disciples of Christ. Then we will always remain in the will of God. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to truly take you as my owner in life

“IF YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR PARENT, YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR GOD”
