A CHOSEN PEOPLE Deuteronomy 7:4-11 Devotional:- “…the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth…” (V.6) The basic challenge we are facing that does not make us understand our new position in Christ is that of misunderstanding how we become a child of God. Because we do not understand what it takes, many don’t even value it. So they easily throw it off their mind. Many today are not holding on to their faith and are easily discouraged simply because they lack understanding of the richness of their choice. Some also put up some pride and some show up because they think they were qualified.

UNIT VALUE
Luke 15:8-10 Devotional Verse:-"Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it?” (Vs. 8)
Sometimes, when you hear about the population of the world, you wonder how God could listen and attend to everyone. The government of God is not like the Kingdom of men. Inadequacies in the nature of men can make it possible for anyone to be overlooked but it is not so with God. In the parable we read about today, Jesus said that if a man has ten silver coins and loses one, he would sweep every part of the room in search of that one until he finds it. When he eventually locates the lost coin, he would celebrate. This is because of the emotional pain he went through; in losing the coin and in laboring to locate it. This interprets how valuable you are to God.
Every one of us on earth is very precious to Him. God says that He has your name inscribed on the palm of His hand (Isaiah 49:16). He also says that, He knows the number of hairs on your head (Matthew 10:30). As far as God is concerned, no one can actually be lost because His eyes are on every one. Going away from Him, gives Him an emotional discomfort. That was why He could give away His only son to save you (John 3:16). He loves you very much and really cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Receive grace to trust in His Love. Peace!
PRAYER: Lord, help me to always abide in your love
ALTERNATIVES II Kings 5:1-15 Devotional:- “Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?" So he turned and went away in a rage”. (V12) NKJV It is always the trick of the devil to make us lose sight of God. So he often makes us see alternatives to God. His own goal is to take people away from God. The enemies so much make his way look easy and quick but with eternal implications. That is why you need to grow your faith and not yield to his tricks. The devil’s alternative will always be with covenants that bind into darkness.
FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans? If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
THE GRACIOUS Exodus 34:1-8 Devotional:- “…The Lord, the Lord a God merciful and gracious, long-suffering and abundance in goodness and truth” (V.6) AMPL For believers of this Generation to have the fullness of heaven as the word of God promised, they will need to have the right understanding of who our God is. It is the wrong concept of God that has limited the exploitation of Christians and made many lives wrongly. God’s word says those who know their God shall be strong (Daniel 11:32). If you will be stronger than your challenges you must know your God.
