FORGIVING YOURSELF

FORGIVING YOURSELF Luke 22:54-62  Devotional:- “So Peter went out and wept bitterly.bitterly.” (V.62) NKJV Before a man can begin to enjoy the expressive love of God in his life, he must learn the act of self-forgiveness. Self-condemnation is always a terrible permission for the devil to take over in the life of a believer. This can make him lose his self-worth in God’s presence. It can make a believer lose his authority in Christ. It can make a believer lose his joy and build an environment of sorrow. And you need to know that the environment of sorrow removes from you the presence of God. He only dwells where there is fullness of joy (Psalms 16:11). Unforgiveness can make a man build an atmosphere of fear and then permit the presence of demons. This also breeds discouragement and frustration and makes the life of its victim miserable. The wonderful thing in the scripture we read today is that, though Peter denied Christ publicly and committed a grievous sin, he did not let...

KINGDOM FRUITS

KINGDOM FRUITS

Luke 6:43-45
Devotional Verse:- “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks”  (Vs. 45)

In the kingdom of God, our understanding should be on the fact that our hearts produce the fruits we bear in life. So many people find all manner of limitation in their lives. The usual thing is that,  man always wants to look for someone or something to put the  blame on. The most blamed person is the devil and this has been the story from the beginning (Genesis 3:12-13). The truth is that, excuses do not change anything.

Jesus taught us in our Scripture for today that the fruits we bear in life are directly connected to the quality of our hearts. Don't ever blame anyone for your situation. Blame game makes us irresponsible. If you observe that the fruits you bear are not what you would like to bear, work on your heart. So, you can change your heart to change your life.

To bring a change to your heart, you will need to acquire new information about life. If you find yourself low in life, look for better higher information. If you are sick, look for information on health. If you are financially backward, look for information on finance. If your marriage is not sweet, all you need is to build your heart on one. This will change your thinking, beliefs, habits and attitudes. Jesus said that the fruits of your life are from your heart. What a day! Peace!

Prayer: Lord, you have given me the key of change. Help me to use it.
