REHEARSAL FOR ETERNITY

REHEARSAL FOR ETERNITY Ecclesiastes 3:9-15 Devotional:- “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end” (V.11) It is important you realize that life here is a rehearsal for eternity. Just like you spend nine month in your mother’s womb, but that was a preparation for the real life, so also is life here compared to eternity. No matter how many years you spend here it is not up to one percent of eternity.  The scripture we read today says that God has planted eternity in our heart. That is why you don’t want to die. But as God’s kingdom citizen, death is not your termination but transition. So, choosing where to spend eternity is what we do here. This is by choosing to relate with Jesus the son of God or with sin and devil. That means these two relationship determines where you will spend your eternity (John 3:16).  The best way to live as a child of God ...

LOVING AND GIVING

LOVING AND GIVING

John 3:13-21
Devotional Verse:- “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (Vs.16)

Every child of God is saved from the Kingdom of the devil to the Kingdom of God (Col. 1:13). Understanding this puts you at an advantage over the devices of the devil.  Very many people in church today are not aware of this truth. This is the truth that sets you free (John 8:32). This is also the reason you need to give yourself to studying the word of God so as to understand the nature of the kingdom of God.

The Kingdom of God is a kingdom characterized by loving and giving. God Himself is love personified (1 John 4:7-8). That is why everyone who is born of Him lives in the nature of love (1 Cor. 13:1-13). God’s evidence of love is giving. That is why our true love is demonstrated in giving. God’s kingdom is a kingdom of giving and receiving. Sowing and reaping.

For you to enjoy the blessing of God, you must commit yourself to giving in obedience to God’s word. Paying your tithes (10% of all your income) and offerings, taking care of your parents and family, men of God, the poor, giving towards the kingdom project, etc. enlist you among the blessed of the Lord. These are what qualifies you for your harvest. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me the heart of a giver

“YOU CAN GIVE WITHOUT LOVING BUT YOU CANNOT LOVE WITHOUT GIVING”
