That is, they get annoyed and refuse to relate to one another. Many of us have some people we don’t greet now on this account. Some people have taken offence at their parents and relations, and they refused to relate to them. The truth is that if you know the harm you are doing to yourself by so doing, you will give up on this.   In the scripture we read today, John the Baptist was not happy because Jesus did not come to rescue him from prison, and he took offence at Christ. He sent messengers to Jesus to ask if He was the Christ or not. This question see...

THE FAITHFUL SERVANT

THE FAITHFUL SERVANT

Luke 16:10-13
Devotional Verse:- “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much” (Vs. 10)

A major practice of the citizens of the Kingdom of God is faithfulness. This is because our God is faithful (I Thessalonians 5:24). To be faithful means, to carry out the master’s assignment as we are instructed by Him or by our leaders. An average man wants to argue about every given instruction. Only a faithful servant obeys notwithstanding.

In our Scripture for today, we can see why men are not faithful. They think it all end today. We don't always understand that whatever we sow today will determine what happens to us tomorrow. Since we are not leaders, we just do things anyhow. Jesus taught us that it is our faithfulness in the little He has given us that qualifies us for more. God sees faithfulness as the product of our maturity. So, it is assumed that if you are not faithful in service by paying your tithes with your little income, using your office, privilege or gifts of the Holy Spirit, you are not qualified for more. True riches are the measures of riches at a greater level. But this is only for the faithful at the lower level.

We all want to be in a place where we will be in charge but it is only when we are faithful in where we are serving others that God will approve of people to serve us. He who jumps up will certainly come down, but faithfulness will qualify you for a lasting promotion from God. It’s a new day!

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to be a faithful servant

“FAITHFULNESS IS THE LADDER TO YOUR DESIRED PLACE”
