  JOY IN PRAYERS I Samuel 2:1-10 Devotional:- “And Hannah prayed and said: "My heart rejoices in the LORD; My horn is exalted in the LORD. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation.” (V. 1) NKJV We often fall into depression when we look around us, and all we see are unanswered prayers. It becomes worse when you are despised and mocked for that thing that you are looking up to God for. Hannah was like that, a depressed and unhappy woman. What was Hannah’s secret that made her proclaim to all that “my heart rejoices in the Lord”? 1. She decided to look away from her oppressor 2. She went to God in prayer, pouring her sorrow to God.  3. She made a vow to give God the child 4. She left the presence of God, believing God answers prayer. Hannah made good her vow, and her joy was full. Are you depressed? Pour your heart to God, make a vow to him, and you will see him answer your prayers and your joy will Come. THE REVEALED LIGHT                

Matt. 5:13-16
Devotional Verse:  "Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house”  (Vs. 15)

    Light is a product of a generated energy. That is why it is not cheap to put on a light. For example, it will cost you buying a candle to have a candle light. That is why you will not put it on in hiding to just burn away. There is a purpose you intend it to serve and that is to illuminate the environment where you are in the time of darkness. It also costs God to giving us the Holy Spirit and teaching us His word for us to be called the light of the world.
 
    In this kingdom, God expects us to let our lives shine for the world to see (Matthew 5:16). This Light is our godly behaviour and attitude which portray the fruits of the Spirit of God in us (Gal. 5:22). God intends that His light in us will expose the darkness of this world, so that people can see the difference between following God and following the devil.
 
    That is why you must learn to always live the lifestyle of Christ. This light is reveal in us as we demonstrate the of love of God in this wicked world: joy in this sorrowful world, the hope of God’s word in this hopeless world, liberty of the Holy Spirit in this enslaving world, contentment in God’s provision in the anxious world and righteousness in this sinful world. As you do this, you will stand out in the world and the glory of God will be revealed in you. Peace!
 
PRAYER: Lord, help me to stand out in the world for your glory

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
