A HEART OF BLESSING

Matthew 20:20-28
Devotional:- “just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (V. 28) NKJV

    As believers, the greatest opportunity you can ever have is to be a blessing. When a life is not a blessing, it cannot be fulfilled. The truth is that you are not in this world for yourself. We came here for God and others. If not for others, you would not be needed. So you are only important when others can be affected by your life.

If you want to keep being strong in life, you must develop a heart of blessing for others. The greatness of the riches of Christ is in the fact that He gave His life as a ransom for us (Mark 10:45). When your life goes through the normal cycle of life, then you are truly fulfilled. That means as you are receiving, you are also giving out. No one will be healthy just eating without excreting. As you breathe in oxygen, you must breathe out carbon dioxide for the plants. That is when the circle is completed. If you refuse to breath out carbon dioxide because you hate the plants, of-course you know the implication. 

Please develop a heart that is willing to be a blessing in your own way. It could be by teaching others, counselling others, encouraging others, or helping people. Until you are willing to be a blessing, you may not find or enjoy your own blessing too. This is when your spirit, soul and body will keep being strengthened in the Lord, and you will be a true child of God.

Prayer: Lord, give me a heart of a blessing.

“THE ONLY REASON YOU NEED LONG LIFE IS TO BLESS MORE PEOPLE”

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
