PROOF OF GOD

PROOF OF GOD I John 4:12-16 Devotional:- “No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us…”(V. 12) So many people today prove to be Godly. This is because it is becoming a noble thing to be Godly. This is the effect of the expansion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But many people have been trapped and disappointed by depending on the so-called Christian Brother or Sister syndrome. This is because we expect everyone who professes to be Christian and born again to just be honest and faithful. So we conclude on them because they are members orelders or pastors of the church.  But the Bible did not tell us that we will know them by their name or attendance in the church, but by their fruits (Matthew 7:15- 21). No man can give what he does not have. Anytime he wants to do so, he will give you frustration. What, therefore, is the proof of Godliness? It is love. If you observe the fruits of the spirit in the Bible, it is number one (Galatians 5:22). The scr...

LOVE YOUR ENEMY

LOVE YOUR ENEMY

Matthew 5:43-48
Devotional Verse:-"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute yo”  (Vs. 44)

It is important that you realize the great difference between the Kingdom of the devil and that of God. We are born into this world, but through salvation that was given to us by Christ Jesus, we have been transmitted from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light which is the kingdom of God (Col. 1:13).

The greatest attitude of the kingdom was taught by Jesus in our Scripture for today: “We should love our enemies”. Jesus says, there is no difference between us as believers and unbelievers if we only love our friends and those who love us. If you only give to those who will give back to you, then you are not entitled to any reward from God.

How do we then love our enemies? We can do this is by being ready to forgive whoever offends us regularly (Matthew 18:21-22). When we forgive others, God will also forgive us. This is by having the kingdom mindset that whatever you do, you do it unto God who is your rewarder (1 Cor. 15:58, Heb.11:6). If you can pray for your enemies, then it means you’ve truly forgiven them. All these are possible because of the Spirit of God is in us and not just the spirit of man. It is by doing this that, we are identified as children of God indeed. Receive grace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to love notwithstanding.
