  PROMISES Isaiah 55:1-13  Devotional:- “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (V.11) NKJV One thing that is common with lovers are promises. It is part of what a true lover will want to hear. To a true lover, a promise is like a cheque capable of turning into cash. So when people who love us promise us, we cherish the promises. And when we remember them, it gladdens our heart. We even sometime feel happy enough to share it with other friends. One other terrible thing that is common with people is failing to fulfill promises. That is why it will be unwise to marry someone based on mare promises. These failure in promises of people, in some cases, are due to the inadequacy of human strength, or unforeseen circumstances that can overtake the promises, so the promised often feel deceived. BURN THE BRIDGE                 

Matthew 19:16-26
Devotional Verse: -“Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."”  (Vs. 21)

    In the nature of the kingdom of God, everyone who want to be part must be total with God. Human beings are always looking for the way to play safe in life. So, many are always playing smartness with God. Each one who will have the full package in God must burn the bridge behind them.
 
    A man came to Jesus, seeking to secure his eternity with God. He has actually been a true keeper of the law all his life, but not with a total heart. To be total with God we must live in the purpose of God for our lives. We must know that all that we have, belong to Him and it must be used for His glory (Psalms 24:1, Matthew 16:25). We must be committed to the family of God, the church for our growth (Hebrews 10:25). You must humble yourself to cooperate with the Holy Spirit to reform you as you learn the word of God (Romans 12:1-2). It is by been willing to help and bless others with what God has given us (Genesis 12:2). This is by joyfully sharing the word of God with others to win their souls to the Lord (Matthew 28:19-20). 
 
    Friend, you need to know that standing on the fence is a pointer to failure. It is either you are choosing Jesus or other god. Lukewarm life have no place in the kingdom of God (Revelation 3:15-16). Don’t think you want to be a little worldly and a little godly. That means, you have not decided totally for God. Many people live all their lives and never decided for God, they die that way and people think they are Christians. They are not useful for God nor for the devil. Make up your mind to follow the Lord. And you will be a true disciple of Jesus. Peace!
 
Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to  be total with you
 
“THERE IS NO MIDDLE ROAD, MAKE UP YOUR MIND”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
