THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to lea...

FAN TO FLAME

FAN TO FLAME

II Timothy 1:3-7
Devotional:- For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands” (v.6) NIV

It's a terrible thing to see that men are wasting than most plants and animals are. This is because men will not take the time to exploit the strength in themselves, but keep exploiting other things around them. Inside any man you see is great potential, gifts and the grace of God.

The purpose for which He has created man was to come to the world to subdue the earth. This can be interpreted as bringing the unfinished work of God to a glorious completion (Hebrews 11:40).

To be able to carry out this great task, He has put in all of us the adequate potential. But it is the responsibility of each one to learn to fan to flame the gift of God in our lives. It is the manifestation of this gift in our lives that will distinguish us and make ways for us among the greats (Proverbs 18:16).

The Scripture we read today offered us a process through which our gifts and potential can begin to manifest for our greatness. And this is by fanning it to flame, that is, stirring up. This is just like blowing or fanning a little fire amid charcoal till it all catches flame. Three things can help you fan your gift to fame. These are the words of God, prayer and service. The word of God is like fire (Jer. 23:29). The prayer strengthens us to operate in the spirit (Acts 4:31), and service helps us exercise our gift to maturity. As you serve the Lord in His house and everywhere, you shall be discovered and excel in God’s grace upon your life. In that house, school, office or church, give yourself to service and your glory shall soon be discovered, your portion shall be delivered.

Prayer: Lord, expose the richness inside me.

“WHAT WILL TURN YOU GREAT IS ALREADY INSIDE YOU BUT CAN ONLY BE DISCOVERED AS YOU FAN IT TO FLAME”
