THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to lea...

LIVE READY

LIVE READY

Genesis 14:8-16
Devotional:- “Now when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his three hundred and eighteen trained servants who were born in his own house, and went in pursuit as far as Dan" (V. 14) NKJV

I have discovered that so many philosophies of the world are becoming ineffective in this generation. Life challenges and opportunities don’t often announce themselves to us or tell us when they are coming. So, this has made many strong people victims of defeat, just because they were taken unaware and were defeated.

That is why you and I need to always be in readiness to face any challenge that comes in the course of the journey of life. Therefore, I need to let you know that you don’t need to get ready anymore; rather, you have to live ready. That is, ever ready.

In the scripture we read today, I saw something that challenged me in the life of Abram, the moment he heard that a war had been fought against his relation, Lot, he just gathered the servants in his house who had been trained to go to battle. The Bible says they were already trained. He was living ready to face any form of challenge that might come. So he gave his servants military

Friend, be wise to imbibe this mentality. Don’t wait to get ready later. Live ready in that house, that office, that school and more. Go and learn how to drive, your car could come any time. You don’t need to paste a learner's card on your car. Get your mind ready. Your new house could be through anytime. Get ready to manage your property. You could be transferred abroad and relocated to a new office, and be promoted anytime from now. This is the reason many cannot retain or maximise their lifting because they were not ready. As a minister of the gospel, prepare to minister abroad. Don’t be shocked by events. Certainly, you are going forward.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always be prepared for my coming opportunities

IF YOU ARE ALWAYS CAUGHT UNAWARE BY YOUR CHALLENGES, YOU WILL LOSE MOST OF YOUR BATTLES.
