THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. CONFIDENCE

CONFIDENCE

Proverbs 3:15-26
Devotional:- For the LORD will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught” (v. 26) NKJV

A man will not be able to go too far in the journey of life if he has not built up confidence. Life is not to be lived just anyhow. The reason is that, we are here to face challenges. Even if you are doing nothing, you will still be faced with challenges, how much more now that you desire to move forward in your life

Confidence can be defined as a feeling of rest and certainty based on assurance. It is facing your challenges with a trust on a power that cannot fail. It is a delicate things to live without resting on a sure power. Such will be a cheap prey for the enemy, one of the problems in so many people’s lives is, facing life challenges with frustration or having no confidence on any authority to back them up.

You need to know that it is only the confidence you build in to yourself that you have. Building your life, houses, and family without confidence is building a future trap for yourself. To build your confidence, you need to look for a sure foundation (Psalms 11:3). Since God is the most stable one we know, you will be wise to make His word the foundation on which you can build (Il Peter 1:19, Hebrews 4:12).

Therefore, seek to have a revelational knowledge of God’s word and place your confidence in it. Since the word is God, then God cannot fail, and you will not fail. Put your total trust in His promises to gain confidence to face all examinations, interview, business and ministry challenges. Move out daily and sleep in this confidence. Then your life will be stable and steady.

Prayer: Lord, help me to put my total trust in your word.

“LIFE BUILT ON A STABLE WORD WILL BE STABLE”
