HOURS OF PRAYER  Acts 3:1-10 Devotional:- “Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour” (V.1) NKJV   🎙 Victory Daily Devotional HOUSE OF PRAYER Support Us Acts 3:1-10 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com Most people only pray or want to pray when they are faced with challenges. But for growing children of God. Prayer is not just making a demand. It is also creating time to be with our father. Much more than our request, God wants us around Him. He wants us always to speak and commune with Him.   Observing the scripture, you will discover prayer has been the habit of all men of God, including Jesus Christ (Luke 6:12). Jesus spent many of his nights praying and the days working. And when He was teaching the disciples, He said, “Pray lest you fall into temptatio...

HUMILITY

HUMILITY

Luke 14:6-14
Devotional:- “But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, 'Friend, go up higher.' Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you” (v.10) NKJV

You can measure the level of a man's maturity by his love for humility. You can also determine or predict a man’s future by his level of humility. A humble man is a wise man. Get to know that humility is different from stupidity. Some people call some attitude humility that makes their opportunities escape them in life. This is not humility.

Humility is a virtue that is not self-seeking and boastful. He will always value and respect others. Humility will help you to be more tolerant and accommodate others. Such a man will never want to put himself in front or overestimate himself. This is an attitude that is ready to learn and change for better. Always willing to obey wise instructions (Matthew 7:24).

This is a virtue that is not always noisy. Jesus teaches us the wisdom of humility in the scriptures we read today, that any time we attend an occasion, we should not choose the highest place. Humble yourself and take the low place. Let the organisers themselves invite you up. Then you will be more honourable (1 Peter 5:6).

Pride will always push a man to shame and destruction (Proverbs 11:2). The way some people talk and shout at everyone will not allow God to lift them. Some people are lazy and now have to impose themselves on others since they don’t have a good example. Watch out, if people always disobey you, and you have to force them to obey. It shows that you need to be humble. A humble man will have what he has sown. It will make you respectful and honourable. The proud will always have shame. Please humble yourself, and life will be more glorious for you. You will enjoy peaceful submission to others, God will always be on your side and fight for you. You will enjoy His grace for growth (James 4:7). It’s your turn to rise.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always humble myself.
