DECIDE TO SUCCEED 1 Chronicles 4:1-10 Devotional:- “And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, "Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!" So God granted him what he requested” (v. 10) NKJV   🎙 Victory Daily Devotional DECIDE TO SUCCEED Support Us 1 Chronicles 4:1-10 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com The decisions of a man will determine what he will eventually become in life. No one decides to fail and then suddenly succeed. People succeed because they choose and decide to succeed. In the scriptures we read today, there was a break in history as generations of people are mentioned. Why this break? This is because a man’s decision changes his status. There was no such pause on many ot...

REMOVE THE WEIGHT

REMOVE THE WEIGHT

Hebrews 12:1-17
Devotional:- “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us” (v.1) NKJV.

God in His wonderful power has created everything with the nature to fit into their natural place wonderfully. When you observe the birds that fly in the air. They are always very light. I have watched a documentary about eagles. As big as they are, they could be so light in weight. Their weight is one of the advantages of their ability to fly high in the firmament. This same property has been employed in the making of the aircraft we are using today. This is also true for anyone who aspires to achieve great heights in life. We must be willing to shed some weight.

God’s word says, we are compassed with so great a cloud of witnesses. That is, we have evidence of people who, through faith, have taken flight to glorious testimonies, which proved to us that we can do the same since our God has not changed. We only need to shed the weight of hindrances to encounter our flight to glory. Weights are things that make God not be on our side and then make us too heavy to fly. Weights are thoughts of evil and negativity. Bitterness, anger, envy, jealousy, and the like are all weighing on our minds.

Life is only stress-free when God is involved in our pursuit. Disobedience to God’s instruction, selfishness working against God’s purpose and plan, and other sins that could easily entangle us will create weight on us; they will not allow us to fly as we desire. These sins are not ordinary behaviour, they are demons hiding in the minds of people. That is why, at times, you don’t want to do them, but these demons enforce it on you (Romans 7:15-25). Search your life and amend your ways before Him. You must change those wrong and sinful practices if there is to be a change. They are enough weight to way you down. This will happen as you daily meditate on the word of God. By this, you are multiplying the Spirit of the word of God into your mind. Information is the vehicle that transports spirit from heart to heart (John 6:63). Look unto Jesus alone. He is enough for you. This year is not for your failure. That is why you must refuse whatever God refuses. You will fly high.

PRAYER: LORD, HELP ME TO FORSAKE THE LIFE OF SIN FOR MY GLORY TO EMERGE.

“MIND WHO YOU ARE LISTENING TO, FOR THEY ARE POURING THEIR SPIRIT INTO YOUR HEART”
