STRENGTH IN GOD

REACTIONS
One of the attitudes that proves a man’s maturity is the ability to handle reactions. When the Bible tells us to be careful of sin that may add weight on our lives, reaction is one of such (Hebrews 12:1). It can stop your race to glory.
Reactions are human behaviour in response to our actions. If they are allowed, they could make one suddenly pack out of his/her home, divorce their spouse, or resign from office. It wearies one from taking bold steps and stops being good or even resigning from life.
David was a mature man of God, and so handling reactions was not a problem for him. Going through a time of challenges this time, a man took advantage of that to curse and insult him. Yet he knew how to handle reactions. And this kept him from sinning, and he eventually had his victory.
I don’t know what people have done to you that tempted you to react terribly. Probably you’ve even done good for someone who is now repaying you with evil, or your effort has been disregarded, and you are discouraged. Yet God expects you to be mature in handling this. The ability to handle reactions is a pointer to your understanding and readiness for glory (Luke 23:34).
Please understand that it is normal for people to sometimes misbehave (Romans 3:10, 13-18). When men encourage you, take it as God speaking through them. But when they mean to pre-judge you, don’t forget that no one has the right to give final statement about you but God (Romans 8:33-34). When they pre-judge you, they are doing what only God should have done, but God is your creator. He has no bad intention against you (Jeremiah 29:11). Please disregard human pre-judgment and continue to live your life. That shows who you are before God. And you will see your glory notwithstanding.
PRAYER: LORD, I THANK YOU, FOR YOU NEED NO HUMAN COUNSEL TO DETERMINE MY LIFE.
