PARENT OF THE GREAT

PARENT OF THE GREAT Exodus 2:1-10 Devotional:- “So the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months..” (V. 2) NKJV. Anything you see that is great in life was incubated by some great people. If you can see anyone becoming great in life, you can easily trace the history back to the parents. I found something funny in this world: everyone wants their children to be great, but they don't bother to raise them for this purpose. People are wise enough to raise chickens for different purposes – some for laying eggs and some for consumption – but few are raising children with the purpose of leadership. We often expect the children to just grow and be great by luck or chance. If you observe great people in the Word of God, you can easily trace it back to their parents. This you can see in the lives of Isaiah, Joseph, David and others. I think it will be funny to sow maize and expect to reap yams. Moses, as we read today, was born...

WAITING ON THE LORD

WAITING ON THE LORD

Luke 2:21-33
Devotional:- “And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him” (V. 25) NKJV

One of the acts of faith that moves God is our ability to wait on Him. The faith is, since God made the promise; I must wait to see the fulfillment. I discover that there is a power that can stop death and that is faith (Hebrews 11:33-35). Man has not fully understood that he determines his lot on earth. Whether to die or to live is your choice no matter the situation (Deuteronomy 30:19). So, you can wait for as long as you desire to see God’s glory.

The man we read about today was an old man named Simeon. God promised that he would see the Messiah and he waited based on this promise until it was fulfilled. Job said I refuse to die until I see my change (Job 14:14). David said I shall not die but live to witness His testimony (Psalm 118:17).

Friend, don’t let life drive you to the destruction of death of any kind. Wait upon the promises of God for your life, family or business. The moment you assume the state of waiting on God’s word in your mind, all destruction shall be suspended and the strength of your health, career, studies, and business shall be renewed (Isaiah 40:31). When you learn the mystery of waiting on the Lord, you have learned the mysteries of becoming younger as though you are starting afresh. No matter what the case may be, never give up, wait on the Lord and death shall be suspended from your life.

Declaration: I will wait till I see my change.

“DON’T LET YOUR THOUGHT TRICK YOU INTO CONCLUSION, NEVER GIVE UP”
