LOVE OF GOD

LOVE OF GOD I John 4:7-19 Devotional:- “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God” (V. 7) NIV You can hardly separate these two virtues; they are love and joy. They work together as twin brothers. You cannot love and not be joyful. In this season of joy, one of the things you must give room to for your joy to come is love. If you were not billing to love, you may not see joy. They have the same source; they both come from God (Psalm 16:11, 1 John 4:8) The scripture we read today said, Love comes from God and love is God. This means God cannot be in you and you can still hate. If you do, it is a sign that you are not born of God. You cannot be stealing and cheating, and you say you are a child of God. The bible teaches us how to truly demonstrate love. This is by following the example of God. He demonstrated His own love by giving us His most precious gift, Jesus Christ. STANDING ON

STANDING ON

Acts 27:13-25
Devotional:- “For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve,” (V.23) NKJV

Faith is standing upon the word of God. This is basing your calmness and confidence on what God said. You will know a man of faith by his measure of calmness and peace irrespective of the challenging situations he faces. He will not be moved by anything that is happening. Why? He has heard God and that He is enough for him. He is not fearful but calm. In other words, within him, he has overcome the war.

In the scripture we read today is a terrible situation that confronted Paul the apostle and all that were with him on the ship. There was a great storm that had been on for days and weeks. They have faced so much loss of property, wealth, and even confidence. But among them was Paul, he was not joining them to panic and expect death. He was standing on what God said, so he had peace. Because he had heard from God, he concluded, “There shall be no loss of life” (Act 27:22).

Have you heard God speak to you about your situation, either through your Bible reading or your pastor’s message? Friend, that is enough to deliver you (John 8:32). Stand upon this word of God and give up your struggles. God is up to His word. He will not say what he is not able to do, but you can allow or disallow Him by the state of your heart. Stop that fear; tell yourself if he has said it, He is up to it. Take your peace and see the salvation of the Lord. There shall be no loss.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always stand on your word.

“WHEN GOD SPEAKS AND YOU CAN SEE WHAT HE SAYS, THEN YOU CAN’T DOUBT HIS WORD”
