WAITING ON THE LORD

WAITING ON THE LORD 2 Samuel 5:1-10 Devotional:- “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years” (v.4) NKJV One of the good virtues of God we must always appreciate is His faithfulness. God is not a man that will lie; whatever He has said in His word, He is able to do and He shall do. You can always plug yourself into His promises as much as you work in His covenants. I always tell people never to think God’s word is written only to some specific persons we hear or read about in the Bible. The word of God is the standard practice and programme of God. They were only privileged to be the ones to receive the word at their time, but God is still the same, and so is His word. In claiming the word of God, you must learn to be able to patiently wait. People who will retain their joy must add this virtue to their life (Hebrews 6:12). Our scripture today told us of the installation of David as king, but that was a promise he received from God when he was about 1...

TIME WITH GOD

TIME WITH GOD

Luke 6:12-16
Devotional:-“Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God” (V. 12)

You need to know that it is the breath of the Almighty that created you. His spirit dwells in you the very moment you believe. Therefore, the more time you spend with your source the stronger you will be. Just like a fish will gain more strength when it is in water, so you are when you walk with God. He said we can of our own do nothing (John 15:5). You are here on assignment for Him; you will be wise to create quality time to be with Him.

Jesus came to the world on the mission of our redemption. But he knew the importance of having time with God. So he regularly separated Himself to a solitary place to share with the father.

Note that Jesus had to do that prior to any important engagement of His Ministry. So also this is vital before taking any important steps in your life and business, how much more ministry. Receive grace to spend time with the Lord. From now, you will keep moving without being weary. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, I receive grace to always spend time with you.
