WAITING ON THE LORD

WAITING ON THE LORD 2 Samuel 5:1-10 Devotional:- “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years” (v.4) NKJV One of the good virtues of God we must always appreciate is His faithfulness. God is not a man that will lie; whatever He has said in His word, He is able to do and He shall do. You can always plug yourself into His promises as much as you work in His covenants. I always tell people never to think God’s word is written only to some specific persons we hear or read about in the Bible. The word of God is the standard practice and programme of God. They were only privileged to be the ones to receive the word at their time, but God is still the same, and so is His word. In claiming the word of God, you must learn to be able to patiently wait. People who will retain their joy must add this virtue to their life (Hebrews 6:12). Our scripture today told us of the installation of David as king, but that was a promise he received from God when he was about 1...

FAITH

FAITH

MATTHEW 14:22-33
Devotional:- So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. (V. 29).

Each one who wants to overcome this word must understand the place of faith. Without faith no one can overcome the wicked forces of the enemy, faith is the act of taking the word of God to act on it. Faith is acting by the strength of the word of God. The truth is that if anyone is a victim or a victor the two are product of the kind of words built in us.

The disciples were greatly troubled when they saw Jesus walking on the sea, they thought Him to be a ghost. When they discover that it was Jesus, Peter demanded that he commanded him to come and Peter walked on the water. this is a product of faith. It is the word spoken to Peter that built faith into him, Jesus told him to come and that gave him strength to walk on water.

If you also will start to meditate daily on the word of God, the word will build courage in you to do the impossible. If you can believe, all things are possible (Mark 9:23). To believe is to be convinced that God will do what he said. This happens because the spirit and the word jump on us, Jesus said the world is a spirit (John 6:63). Start to meditate daily on the word of God and you have faith to overcome.

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to daily take your word

“It is what you give yourself to that will fill your life”.
