WAITING ON THE LORD

WAITING ON THE LORD 2 Samuel 5:1-10 Devotional:- “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years” (v.4) NKJV One of the good virtues of God we must always appreciate is His faithfulness. God is not a man that will lie; whatever He has said in His word, He is able to do and He shall do. You can always plug yourself into His promises as much as you work in His covenants. I always tell people never to think God’s word is written only to some specific persons we hear or read about in the Bible. The word of God is the standard practice and programme of God. They were only privileged to be the ones to receive the word at their time, but God is still the same, and so is His word. In claiming the word of God, you must learn to be able to patiently wait. People who will retain their joy must add this virtue to their life (Hebrews 6:12). Our scripture today told us of the installation of David as king, but that was a promise he received from God when he was about 1...

COVENANT OF VICTORY

COVENANT OF VICTORY

Galatians 4:21 - 31 NKJV
Devotional:- Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise. (V. 28)

Everyone who is born of God through the Lord Jesus has been brought into the covenant of victory. The covenant of victory is what God gave to the children of Abraham through the ministry of Joshua (Joshua 1:5).  This covenant is written for us to key into by our faith. (Galatians 3:14).

God is a God of covenant. He always keeps to his word (Psalm 89:34). His words are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). His words are established in heaven. This means the system to carry them out is fully in place (Psalms 119:89). So God has established the covenant for your victory if you can key into it (1 John 5:4).

To key into the covenant of His victory for your life, you need to know that a covenant is an agreement between two parties sealed with blood. Please know that in every covenant, the two parties involved have their parts to play in other to activate the covenant. So, you have a part and God has a part. Your part is to exercise your faith in the covenant, that is, you must believe strongly in His promises and step out in that faith for your victory (1 John 5:4)

Friend, arise from that sickness by faith in the word of God (Isaiah 53:5). Arise from failure and fear to win by faith in his word (Joshua 1:5). You are destined to win and you will win. Peace.

Prayer: Lord strengthen me to arise and win

‘‘God has prepared all things for your victory if you will arise’’.
