JOY IN TRUSTING GOD

JOY IN TRUSTING GOD Proverbs 16:16-26 Devotional:- “He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he” (V. 20) NKJV Living in doubts, fears, and anxieties cause sadness and sorrows in the lives of people. Sometimes it’s so bad that it leads to depression and ill health. One of the reasons for this is often our inability to trust God in times of need. Whenever there is a delay in our expectations, we easily struggle with our relationship with God.  But when a man trusts in the Lord, he will not see the troubles around, he will only see the promises of God that can never fail; and that will bring great joy, peace and happiness. People around him will wonder what is giving him such joy even in the face of imminent challenges. Beloved God loves you. He cares about you. He has promised to help you (Isaiah 41:10). When you allow Him in your heart, you cannot lose your joy (Psalm 16:11). This is because wherever Jesus is dwelling, joy will alw...

BOLDNESS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

BOLDNESS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Proverbs 28:1-7
Devotional:- "The wicked flee when no one pursues but the righteous are as bold as a lion". (V. 1)

No atom of weakness can overcome the devil. Unrighteousness is his attitude and so cannot confront him (1 John 3:8). It is also important that you realise that we are not fighting against flesh and blood but against forces of wickedness. That is why you cannot afford to be a weak Christian. He who toys with sin will soon face disgrace, so beware. One of the strength you need to put on for victory as a Christian is the boldness of righteousness. God’s word calls it the breastplate of righteousness. This is a strange level of confidence; the scripture says the righteous is as bold as a lion.

The boldness of righteousness is in two dimensions. The first is as a product of faith in God’s word that claims the righteousness which is given to us by God through Jesus Christ. This is not by your own making. God’s word says it is not of works but faith (Romans 3:1-26, 2 Corinthians 5:20). No man can be so right with God, you must learn to put on His righteousness always, and then you are qualified. The second is from obedience to the word of God. When you obey God’s commandment you are entitled to God’s covenant reward (Deuteronomy 28:1).

As a child of God this righteousness gives you strange boldness that no devil can wait for. Arise in this light and be courageous to win

Prayer: Lord, cast on me the breastplate of righteousness

“The level of your strength is known by your Courage”
