HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. If you only serve when it is convenient, then you are not a good servant (2 Timothy 2:4). Real servants pay attention to needs, always lo...

WAITING

WAITING

Isaiah 40:25-31
Devotional:- But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. (V. 31)

Since God is the one that gives strength, waiting on him becomes a winning wisdom. All the attempt of the devil is to turn many away from God. This is because he knows that God is the source of strength for you. Be careful not to follow the trendy information to walk away from God, let the word of God be your strength.

You need to know that the devil is your opponent in life; you also need to know that God is above him. Whatever is tricking you from God to other things is to take away your strength; the word of God says he is the giver of strength (Isaiah 40:29). When you know that a cheque is to be paid in a bank, you wait till it is your turn to receive, so also is the act of waiting on the Lord.

To wait on the Lord is to set time aside. A time to wait till he gives you a direction. This is just as a waiter wait to be instructed by you in a restaurant. Concerning your matter, take time out to wait on Him for instructions. You can’t be running about and expect God to run after you. Look for a place and a time alone with Him and He will give you a word for your victory. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to learn the wisdom of a waiter

“He that will not wait may waste by running in vain”.
