  FACTORS OF GROWTH Deuteronomy 8:1-10 Devotional:- “So He humble you, allow you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your father’s know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord” (V. 3)   Spiritual growth is the process of replacing lives with the truth (John 17:17). To become like Jesus we must fill our lives with his word. (2 Timothy 3:17). The word of God is powerful, so when God speak things change. To be a healthy disciple of Jesus you must feed on the word of God. This is what it mean to abide in Christ and Christ in you. This is by remaining in the word of God and obeying the word. To abide in God’s word you must accept the authority of the word of God (John 8:31). In other words the Bible must become the standard of your life. You must make the word of God the compass for your life. The word must become the counsel you listen to for wise decision ...

PEACEFUL BLESSING

Joshua 7:16-26
Devotional:- When I saw among the spoils a beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. And there they are, hidden in the earth in the midst of my tent, with the silver under it.” (V. 21)

   God demonstrated His mighty power and delivered the children of Israel from the hand of the Egyptians, bringing them to their promise land. But as soon as they took over the promise land, a small nation defeated them in battle and they were embarrassed.

They didn’t know that one man had just wrongly acquired wealth among them which pitched God against them. Then God allowed their enemies to defeat them. When an enquiry was made, Achan was discovered to have taken and hidden what God said they should not touch. He wanted to be smart enough to get rich quick, not knowing that that is the way of destruction (Proverbs 14:12).

Today, the blessing some people are gathering is from the one they have used “bold face” to get. They terrorize others to get wealth. People seem to have taken evil blessing to be a good one. Not many want to labour genuinely to make it. Shrewd people devise ways of defrauding others what they have laboured for. A family or nation who is diligent will enjoys the blessing of God. God’s blessing comes with peace and prosperity. You don’t need to fight anyone to get it. God’s blessing came when you get involved in genuine business that brings a peaceful blessing (Proverbs 10:22). Achan ended up in destruction. Don’t follow such path, face your business with godly wisdom and heaven will prosper you.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from sinful and deadly blessing.

“ENERGY INVESTED IN EVIL BLESSING WILL KILL ITS VICTIM, WATCH OUT”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
