THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. IT PLEASES THE LORD

IT PLEASES THE LORD

1 Thessalonians 5:14:22
Devotional- “in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (V. 18) NKJV

Human reasoning wants to rejoice only when things are good. When it looks less, we often want to complain and shift blame. The word of God instructs us to always rejoice in the Lord (Philippians 4:1). That is, rejoicing in the hope we have in our God. The Bible says “this is the will of God in Christ Jesus”.

Praises pleases God because it is a sign of appreciation or gratitude to Him. It pleases God because it is a sign of submission to His will. It pleases God because it helps you to return glory to God. It helps you to honour God. That is why praises pleases God.

Remember, when a man's way pleases the Lord, He make Him to be at peace with even his enemy. (Proverbs 16:7). When a man's way pleases the Lord, He blesses him beyond his request (1 Kings 3:10-14). David could win the heart of God because He knows how to praise Him.

Friend, learn to praise God from a pure heart. Then your ways will please Him and He shall bless you. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me a humble heart to please you with my praises.
