Authority itself is not always physical, so if you can receive and resume into it by faith, you can see it working for you. So, men of authority must be men of faith who believe that what the law says they are is what they really are. They must throw away their past personal view of themselves and assume the office the law gives to them.   One of the offices that the word of God, the law of the universe, gives to you is to be seated with Christ in the ...

HUMILITY

HUMILITY

Scripture Reading: James 4:1-10
Devotional:- Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. (V. 10) NKJV

A person with a proud hearted cannot praise the Lord. Pride will not allow anyone to be qualify before the Lord. Pride is a function of overestimation of self, above the actual level of grace (Romans 12:3). A proud man will see praises as childish affairs and feel he cannot condescend so low to be jumping like a monkey in church in the name of praise (2 Samuel 6:20-23).

People become proud because they are not strong enough to manage their level and the level is controlling them. People become proud because they refuse to work over their unrealistic ego, so the ego will keep tormenting them in defeat and failure. Others become proud because they want to proof they are somebody, so they have to pretend to be who they are not (Proverbs 13:7).

Friend, God's word says “lifting comes by humility” (1 Peter 5:6). It will therefore be wrong to hinder your way to progress. God is not our classmates, so we have to praise Him as our creator, Lord, owner of our soul, the bridegroom of the bride, our saviour and our redeemer. See, your title does not open the door of His presence for you. Rather, it is your humility that will give you grace to access Him (James 4:6-7). Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me a humble heart for my lifting.
