FORGIVING YOURSELF

FORGIVING YOURSELF Luke 22:54-62  Devotional:- “So Peter went out and wept bitterly.bitterly.” (V.62) NKJV Before a man can begin to enjoy the expressive love of God in his life, he must learn the act of self-forgiveness. Self-condemnation is always a terrible permission for the devil to take over in the life of a believer. This can make him lose his self-worth in God’s presence. It can make a believer lose his authority in Christ. It can make a believer lose his joy and build an environment of sorrow. And you need to know that the environment of sorrow removes from you the presence of God. He only dwells where there is fullness of joy (Psalms 16:11). Unforgiveness can make a man build an atmosphere of fear and then permit the presence of demons. This also breeds discouragement and frustration and makes the life of its victim miserable. The wonderful thing in the scripture we read today is that, though Peter denied Christ publicly and committed a grievous sin, he did not let...

FORCES OF CHANGE

FORCES OF CHANGE

Scripture Reading: Act 16:23-34
Devotional:- Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed. (V. 26) NKJV

In the course of our journey on earth, we are bound to face challenges (John 16:33). This is because for every action there will always be a reaction. But Jesus instructs us that we should not allow the reactions to intimidate us. We should rather rejoice all through (James 1:2). In praises, we will employ the forces of God for our change.

Paul and Silas were greatly resisted in Macedonia. They were terribly persecuted. They were beaten with strives and they were put into a prison. It was a terrible experience, just for preaching the gospel. At midnight, they prayed and later began to sing. This is a heart that is not offended in God. (Matthew 11:6). Because they were singing praises, the Lord stepped into the prison, there was an earthquake, the prison doors were opened and everyone’s bound were loosed.

Friend, instead of murmuring in that situation turn to praises. Praises will bring the presence of God to rescue you (Psalm 22:3). Praises put the dominion of God over your enemy. Where God is presence the enemy will bow out and your troubles will vanish (Psalms 97:5). God's presence come as we choose to praise the Lord and your situation will change for good. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me to keep praising you for my freedom.

“IF YOU CAN BRING GOD IN, THERE WILL BE A CHANGE “
