HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. If you only serve when it is convenient, then you are not a good servant (2 Timothy 2:4). Real servants pay attention to needs, always lo...

HAVING FAVOUR

HAVING FAVOUR

Scripture Reading: Act 2:40-47
Devotional:- “praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved” (V. 47) NKJV

A life of disfavored will always lack support and help. Disfavored is the opposite of favour. But this is not for a child of God. Our redemptive package is favour inclusive (Psalm 5:12). That is why the righteous cannot beg (Psalm 37:25). So, if you find a life of disfavor, then something is wrong somewhere. In most cases, it is inability to humbly praise God that hinder favour. In aability to humble yourself to praise God is a pointer to ingratitude. When people are ungrateful they have secret intimidation by the success of another person. When people are ungrateful they have secret fear of failure.

In the first church, there is a record of tremendous favour. The Bible told us the secret, and that is praises. This is because, praises makes man to please God (Psalm 69:30-31). The daughter of Herodias danced before Herod and he was pleased to give her anything to the half of his kingdom (Mark 6:21-23).

Friend, if you want to enter into the realm of favour, the secret is praises. The first church was praising God, such that God was bringing them all into favour. That God is still the same. If you will also give yourself unto praises, you will start to experience favour. And there shall be no more disfavor in your life in Jesus name. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, let your praises never depart from my mouth.

“FAVOUR IS FOR THE HUMBLE AND PRAISEFUL”
