  JOY John 16:16-24  Devotional:- “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” (V. 20) NKJV God’s word says when sorrow endures till a night, joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). This is an assurance and evidence that what is called sorrow is not a permanent situation in the life of a child of God. This is because it is certain that when a night comes, morning is always the next. The night is evidence of the coming morning. This is evidence that what you are going through right now will soon result in joy. In fact, the tougher it is, the closer the joy. May you see it. The scripture we read today gave us a new dimension of hope in our lives. Jesus said, our sorrow shall turn to joy. That which we think is a thing of sorrow shall suddenly become a thing of joy. Jesus likens it to a woman who is in labour. Women in this state often feel as if the end has come. But ...

WORK AT HOME

Proverbs 14:1-10
Devotional: “The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish pulls it down with her hands.” (V. 1)

    Irresponsibility has marred the stability of many family. People viewing family live from different angles. Some sees it from just friendship and relaxation angle. Some sees it from the angle of sex partner alone, others sees it from the angle of social relevance. They just want to do what everyone use to do. Some sees it from the angle of an escape route from parental unrest. All I have mentioned are okay but marriage is more than that.

The scripture we read today liken family life to a building. Friend, it is a real work. It is working on relationship harmony and unity. It is working on raising each party to come to term of working together. It is labouring to raise an achievers team. It is labouring to be a true help to each other. It is working to raise a foundation of another generation and raising godly children.

If anyone is not ready to work on his/her home, such will have themselves to blame. The Bible call such fools. This is because they have a regrettable future. They will have a home of disaster that is going somewhere to happen. So, get ready to work on your home. Be diligent to pay attention to all details of events and put them in order. Be willing to lead your family by example. Labour for their provision. Create your family structure and order. Let their Spiritual, mental and physical development be your concern. Then, you will have a future of peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to be responsible in my family.

“FAMILY RESPONSIBILITY IS THE MOTHER OF GREATNESS AND PEACEFUL FUTURE”.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
