  TIME OF CELEBRATION  2 Samuel 6:11-23 Devotional:- “Then David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod” (V. 14) NKJV As much as this season is tagged with much celebration, the enemy often tries to see how he could poison the joy of many people to remove them from the list of people who will celebrate. It will be wisdom for you to know that happiness and sorrow are a choice. I will advise you to choose to rejoice in hope and leave sorrow for the enemy (Romans 5:22). In the scripture we read today, David and all the people were in a mood of celebration because of the advent of the ark of the Lord. But a lady could not see what was worth celebrating, and she took offence at David’s elegant celebration. And she remains barren till her death. Friend, if the coming of the ark of the Lord is sufficient to lose celebration, how much more the coming of Christ, the Son of God. Don’t let the devil push you to sorrow corner in a time like this. 1 Corinthians 15:47-58
Devotional: "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (V. 58)


    As a kingdom citizen, God has planted you in your church to be part of the work force. These are people who labour to see the business of the kingdom of God established and moving forward, especially in the house of God. This is taking care of the members of the body of Christ. It is this members of the Church body that is called the church. The focus of the church should be to worship the king of the Kingdom, to maintain unity and harmony in the family; to raise the members as disciples of Jesus; to motivate them to be involved in outreach ministries and mission work. This is quite enormous and it demands the commitment of mature Christian in the workforce.

Therefore, find your place by locating a service section where you feel God has granted you grace and has called you to serve. See it as a work for the Lord. Put in your best to be an example among the believers (1 Timothy 4:12). Be part of those who encourage others to serve more faithfully and to assist the ministers of God. The word of God says God does not forget and will not forget your labour of love and your reward will surely come. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to be effective in the service of your house.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
