JOY

JOY John 16:16-24  Devotional:- “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” (V. 20) NKJV God’s word says when sorrow endures till a night, joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). This is an assurance and evidence that what is called sorrow is not a permanent situation in the life of a child of God. This is because it is certain that when a night comes, morning is always the next. The night is evidence of the coming morning. This is evidence that what you are going through right now will soon result in joy. In fact, the tougher it is, the closer the joy. May you see it. The scripture we read today gave us a new dimension of hope in our lives. Jesus said, our sorrow shall turn to joy. That which we think is a thing of sorrow shall suddenly become a thing of joy. Jesus likens it to a woman who is in labour. Women in this state often feel as if the end has come. But ...

PROFIT ORIENTED

PROFIT ORIENTED

Matthew 25:14-30
Devotional: "So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, 'Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.'” (V. 20)

Work will not be encouraging or motivating enough if it is not making profits. Everything we have is given to us by God but it is as we work smart to make profit that we are rewarded. So many people don't bother about profit. People think work is a place you just resume at, either you do anything or not does not matter. At least they have come to work, so, they just come to sleep. This is a very wrong mentality. God want us to be profit oriented.

The parable of Jesus we read today teaches us the importance of been profit oriented. It teaches us that people who are not profit oriented are wicked and will be throw into hell fire. The profit sometimes may not be money but in many cases it is. In the work of ministry the profits are souls.

Friend, ask yourself often, am I adding or subtracting from this work? Am I even making my salary? We should always put that at the back of our mind that we should make profit and progress in whatever we do, either you are working for someone or in business. He that makes no profit will suffer here and in eternity. Think of maximizing profit. Stop working with nonchalant approach. God sees it all. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, make me a profitable servant

“IT IS PROFIT THAT ENSURE THE CONTINUITY OF YOUR WORK “
