DARLING OF GOD

DARLING OF GOD I John 4:11-21 Devotional:- “If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” (V. 20) NKJV God has some darlings He loves in the world, and they also love Him. They seek Him, and He seeks them. They long for Him, and He longs for them. You will know such people by the way they relate to others. Today, most people think the measure for their love for God is by the number of chapters of the Bible they read daily, the number of hours and times they pray daily, the numerous assignments they do in the church or the number of posts they occupy in the church. All of these are good things to do for the Lord, but it is not a true measurement of our love for God. Most of these are what make us grow in Christ, but the fundamental measurement of our love for God is how much we love others (1 Corinthians 13:1-2). All other spiritual activities must be bo...

DILIGENCE

DILIGENCE

Proverbs 12:16-28
Devotional: “The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labor.” (V. 24)

To be lazy at work is a crime. This is because your work is your purpose of creation. Your work or business is a service to the Lord. Your work is your contribution to your world. Your work is the value of your life. Can you imagine how much a lazy man stand to lose?

The scripture we read today says, a diligent man will rule. In other words, a diligent man will be distinct, he will be recognized by God for what he does and he will be qualified for promotion (Genesis 39:4, Luke 16:10-12). A diligent man will be favored. He will be recommended for his work and he will be dependable and appreciated. But laziness put a man under a forced labour.

People become lazy when they find out that their expectations from a work or business is not coming. But a diligent man has a right motive. He is not looking at what man will say or not. He is working for the Lord and that is his rewarder. To be diligent is to put in the best in your work to get the best result. It is to put in to the work more than normal. Surely, such will be promoted by the Lord and will soon be leader of others.

PRAYER: Lord, put a diligent Spirit in me.

“AVOIDING YOUR WORK IS AVOIDING PROMOTION “
