  OUR HUSBAND Ephesians 5:25-32 Devotional:- “Husbands love your wives Just as Christ also loved the church… “ (V.25) I believe it is a great privilege for a woman to have a husband. This is someone who is referred to as the head of her. Someone who takes responsibility for taking care of her and the entire house, someone who oversees everyone in the home. Women, in most cases, often make their husbands a confidant. This allows them to shift some of their responsibilities to the man of the house. They, on their side, feel relaxed under the umbrella of “at least I am not the husband. In time past, I used to feel cheated as a man when women enjoyed their liberty in the house, and the man carried the burden, until I discovered this truth in the scripture that Jesus is the husband of all Christians, both men and women. GREATER WORKS    

John 14:12-21
Devotional – "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” (v. 12)


    As citizens of the kingdom of God, it is expected of us to do greater works on the earth. Greater works here means, doing more than Jesus did on earth. This could be both in quality and in quantity. Let us not forget the purpose of our work on earth. It is to bring glory to the Lord who we are representing on the earth (Matthew 5:16).

In our scripture today, Jesus spell out how it will be possible for us to be able to do greater works than what He does. It is because He goes to the father. He said to the disciples that it was for their benefit He goes to be with the father.

It is because He has gone to be with the father that He releases the Holy Spirit to abide with us. He interceded for us before the father.  We have more time and opportunity to work more and to achieve more for the glory of God.  That is why we should take advantage of the Spirit of God in us, the word of God and the brethren around us for greater works in our lives. And we will enjoy the great blessing of the power of God. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me by your Spirit for greater works.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
