  APPRECIATE HIM Psalms 136:1-9  Devotional:- “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” (V.1) NKJV Most people have not started to enjoy God to the maximum. because they have not fully imbibed the wisdom of appreciation. No relationship will be able to survive for a long time if the spirit of appreciation is not imbibed. Can you imagine that you plan to buy something for someone you love, though you do not have the means but embarked on saving towards it. At last you successfully get the gift, rapped it beautifully with a rapper and present it to your friend. All that your friend did was to receive it and just say, “That is good,” in a frowning way. And he started talking about something else to make you forget about the gift. You will feel disappointed and almost regret your effort. This and others are what most men do to God. GREATER WORKS    

John 14:12-21
Devotional – "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” (v. 12)


    As citizens of the kingdom of God, it is expected of us to do greater works on the earth. Greater works here means, doing more than Jesus did on earth. This could be both in quality and in quantity. Let us not forget the purpose of our work on earth. It is to bring glory to the Lord who we are representing on the earth (Matthew 5:16).

In our scripture today, Jesus spell out how it will be possible for us to be able to do greater works than what He does. It is because He goes to the father. He said to the disciples that it was for their benefit He goes to be with the father.

It is because He has gone to be with the father that He releases the Holy Spirit to abide with us. He interceded for us before the father.  We have more time and opportunity to work more and to achieve more for the glory of God.  That is why we should take advantage of the Spirit of God in us, the word of God and the brethren around us for greater works in our lives. And we will enjoy the great blessing of the power of God. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me by your Spirit for greater works.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
