  WORSHIP John 4:10-26 Devotional:- “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him” (v.23) NKJV Many of us have not come to the level of understanding that God is more interested in building relationship with us than in meeting our needs. Actually, He desires to meet our needs, but fundamentally, He wants a relationship first. That is why most people don’t have a constant response from God, because He has discovered that they are much more after His gifts and not after Him as God. So also when Jesus discovered that people were following Him for the sake of fish and bread, He quickly discouraged the act (John 6:25-27). GREATER WORKS    

John 14:12-21
Devotional – "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” (v. 12)


    As citizens of the kingdom of God, it is expected of us to do greater works on the earth. Greater works here means, doing more than Jesus did on earth. This could be both in quality and in quantity. Let us not forget the purpose of our work on earth. It is to bring glory to the Lord who we are representing on the earth (Matthew 5:16).

In our scripture today, Jesus spell out how it will be possible for us to be able to do greater works than what He does. It is because He goes to the father. He said to the disciples that it was for their benefit He goes to be with the father.

It is because He has gone to be with the father that He releases the Holy Spirit to abide with us. He interceded for us before the father.  We have more time and opportunity to work more and to achieve more for the glory of God.  That is why we should take advantage of the Spirit of God in us, the word of God and the brethren around us for greater works in our lives. And we will enjoy the great blessing of the power of God. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me by your Spirit for greater works.

Jesus earned this office by becoming the sacrificial Lamb of God for the salvation and redemption of man (Phil. 2:7-11). Therefore, every citizen of the kingdom of God must be followers and disciples of Jesus.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
