DEFINE PLEASURE  Proverbs 21:12-21 Devotional:- “He who loves pleasure will be a poor man; He who loves wine and oil will not be rich.” (v. 17) NKJV 🎙 Victory Daily Devotional DEFINE PLEASURE Support Us Proverbs 21:12-21 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com There is nothing wrong with pleasure, but there is a need to define what it means in a way that it will not bring destruction to you. Pleasure to most people means idleness, sleeping, jesting, watching T.V and all sorts of films, extravagant spending at beer parlous and hotels, eating in all the city kitchens and to some it is just travelling all around. The truth is that none of those things are real pleasure. If those things are what you call pleasures, then, no matter how much you have now, poverty and sorrow are on the way. SAVED TO WORK

SAVED TO WORK

Ephesians 2:1-10
Devotional: "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (V. 10)

The first church experienced great power of God. The Holy Spirit worked mighty things around them. But they so much enjoyed the fellowship of each other and were staying regularly together, eat together and possibly lived together. Not too long, God had to orchestrate persecution against them for the purpose of scattering them (James 1:1; Genesis 11:8). They had to work through many places and take the good news to the end of the earth through their good works.

As believer today, we should realize that we are saved, recreated in Christ Jesus for the good work for which Christ saved us. True believers are the ones who are manifesting the glory of God through their lives and day to day activities.

Friend, the salvation of your soul has brought you out of darkness to stop representing darkness, but light in your deeds not just in claim (1 Peter 2:9) God expect you to work in His will that you may be the manifestation of His beauty and glory. So many things God has provided that it is as we work it out that it will manifest (Hebrew 11:40). It's time to rise and take over that office and business by working in divine instructions. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, let your good work begin in my life from now.

“ONLY THOSE WHO CAN WORK TO PROVE THEIR SALVATION WILL NOT LOSE IT”
