  SETBACK Genesis 39:10-21 Devotional:- “Then Joseph's master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison” (v.20) NKJV Most people do not yet understand that what we call a setback, a lot of time is a set-up to set us to our top. Setback, as viewed by people, is demotion, but it is rather an opportunity to retreat and re-fire for greater victory. When the purpose of a thing is not known, men are bound to abuse it. Today, we read about Joseph, who was thanking God for being promoted from a slave to a house overseer. He always tried to put his best into his assignment, and by this, he always had joy. At this time, the enemy wanted to damage his testimony by the temptation of sin, but he stood his ground for God (2 Timothy 2:22). But then he faced something like a demotion to prison. Exodus 35:10-19
Devotional: "All who are gifted artisans among you shall come and make all that the LORD has commanded:” (V. 10)


    God in His decision to make man relevant to his world often load us with all manner of abilities to carry out our work on earth. If you observe the makeup of man, you will discover that it is because we were made to work on the earth (Genesis 2:15). Each of us need to be grateful to God for this. It will now be a crime for anyone to refuse to work or be idle.

In our scripture today, God had a plan to build a tabernacle, a place where He will dwell and people will come to worship Him. This demands the work of the talented among the children of Israel.

Friend, your talents are your instruments of work and not just hubby. Take time to organize yourself to work with them. Use them to help others out and build a business out of them. If you can think enough, what you have is enough. Use those talents to promote your work in the office, in your business or in the community at large. By so doing you are promoting the kingdom of God and you shall be promoted (Matthew 6:33). Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, make me a blessing to others this year

“ALL US WILL GIVE ACCOUNT ON HOW WE USE THE TALENTS GIVEN TO US”

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
