DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES Deuteronomy 8:1-11 Devotional:- “To teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD” (v.3) NIV      The word of God is the bank of our strength in God. The word of God is the strength of God (John 1:1-3; Hebrews 4:12). Through the word, God had done all He had done. God’s word says, without Him, nothing else was created (John 1:3). When a man, therefore, distances himself from the Word of God, such is distancing himself from his source, He will lack the strength of God.

Genesis 41:25-41
Devotional: "And Pharaoh said to his servants, "Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?"V38


    We often make mistake of thinking the baptism of the Holy Spirit is for the church alone. God has given us the Holy Spirit that we might carry Him around to manifest His glory and power through us especially in our work and business places. The Holy Spirit is not given to us to sit down. That will be of no use. It is for us to work and men to marvel at the work of our hand.

It is important we realize that the evil work in our world today is by men of the evil Spirit and we should work by the Spirit of God to manifest the glory of God. We should stop looking only for money but the glory and blessings of God through our work. Yes, we should see to it that our work brings money for us, but there is more to it. By the Spirit of God, Joseph control the economy and production of Egypt. By the Spirit of the Lord, Daniel was involved and he excel in the politics of Babylon (Daniel 5:11-12) By the Spirit of the Lord, Bezalel was able to construct the articles of the temple of God (Exodus 31:3)

Friend, God gave you the Holy Spirit that He might work through you in that office and business (Act 10:38). Arise and work. Peace

PRAYER: Lord, inspire me by the Holy Spirit to excel at work 

“THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A SUPERIOR SPIRIT, BE SUPERIOR“

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

ALTERNATIVES II Kings 5:1-15 Devotional:- “Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?" So he turned and went away in a rage”. (V12) NKJV      It is always the trick of the devil to make us lose sight of God. So he often makes us see alternatives to God. His own goal is to take people away from God. The enemies so much make his way look easy and quick but with eternal implications. That is why you need to grow your faith and not yield to his tricks. The devil’s alternative will always be with covenants that bind into darkness.
