WAITING ON THE LORD 2 Samuel 5:1-10 Devotional:- “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years” (v.4) NKJV One of the good virtues of God we must always appreciate is His faithfulness. God is not a man that will lie; whatever He has said in His word, He is able to do and He shall do. You can always plug yourself into His promises as much as you work in His covenants. I always tell people never to think God’s word is written only to some specific persons we hear or read about in the Bible. The word of God is the standard practice and programme of God. They were only privileged to be the ones to receive the word at their time, but God is still the same, and so is His word. In claiming the word of God, you must learn to be able to patiently wait. People who will retain their joy must add this virtue to their life (Hebrews 6:12). WALKING WITH GOD

Genesis 5:12-24
Devotional:- “And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him” (V. 24)


    No one will reign with Christ until he or she starts to walk with the Lord. God want people to walk with Him (Genesis 17:1). When people don’t walk with God, they walk with another spirit consciously or unconsciously. When you cultivate the habit of walking with God, you will be able to be like Him and serve Him faithfully. It is then, we can fulfill our destiny.

In the scripture we read today, Enoch was said to walk with God to the point that God took him away alive. Many others only live long and long live. To walk with God means, you and God having a walk together in life. It means you are taking your steps with Him. It means you have a close relationship with God (Job 22:21).

It is possible to walk with God when we learn the habit of taking instructions from Him in every situation and we obey. This demand a high level of discipline not to have decided before you remember the Lord. Sometime, it demands waiting on Him (Isaiah 40:31). Most of the time it demands that asking Him and He guides. Then our life will be a fulfillment of God’s plan. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me grace to walk with you all my life.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
