MY REFUGE

MY REFUGE Psalms 46:1-7 Devotional:- "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (V. 1) It is always very easy for men to say God is not good to them when they have a pressing need. But if you observe it carefully, wisdom will let you always appreciate Him. It is not every one that began this year that is still alive now. Many were faced with challenges greater than themselves and were swallowed up. If you listen to the reasons for their falls, they are not too great. The truth is that you also have passed through challenges greater than theirs, but God was your refuge. Anytime you run to Him, you will find a hiding place in Him. Even when it looks like the situation wants to swallow you, you still find strength for help in God. Do you know that you have been enjoying His refuge not because you are better but because He loves you? No matter what happens, do not be afraid, your lover is your refuge. TRUST IN THE LORD

TRUST IN THE LORD

Psalm 115:9-18
Devotional:- “O Israel, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield” (v. 9)

To consecrate our lives to God, we must totally put our trust in the Lord. This will make us to depend on Him in all things. To trust in the Lord means to commit your life into the hand of the Lord. It is to depend on the faithfulness of the Lord, notwithstanding the situation one may be passing through. It is to refuse to doubt the ability of God and to wait on His faithfulness.

The Psalmist said, those who trust in the Lord shall be like Mount Zion which cannot be moved (Psalm 125:1-2). This interprets stability. Those who trust in the Lord shall be secured by the Lord (Psalm 20:7-8). Those who trust in the Lord shall be protected by the Lord (Psalm 16:30). Those who trust in the Lord shall enjoy the mercy of the Lord (Psalm 32:10).

God’s word says those who trust in the Lord shall be blessed (Psalm 34:8). No matter what you may be passing through, trust in the Lord to see you through and you shall find help in Him. If the three Hebrews were not put to shame, you shall not be put to shame (Daniel 3:16-25). If Moses and the children of Israel were not put to shame by the red sea, you will not be put to shame. Trust in Him with all your heart. He will honour His name in your life. Peace

PRAYER: Lord, help me to always trust in you
