JOY OF SALVATION

JOY OF SALVATION Psalm 51:8-19 Devotional:- “Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit” (v.12) NKJV Many believers have not learnt to truly experience the joy of salvation. So, the enemy often pushes them to sorrow in the midst of their joy. The reason many don’t exercise this joy for their lifting is that they quickly allow their challenges to make them lose sight of the redemptive provision. They allow the wind of their challenges to take them on and on into fear and worry. They forget the joy of salvation, which is actually their strength and solution. David also experiences this deception of the devil to take him into a season of dryness and sorrow, but he quickly remembered the joy of God’s salvation. He started asking for the restoration of this joy. Friend, let me remind you that Christ died to take not only your sin but also your sorrow away (Matthew 8:17). RESISTING

RESISTING

1 Peter 5:5-11
Dev:- “Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world” (V. 9)

Every action will always command reaction. That is why a child of God is known by his ability to stand and resist the activities of the devil around his life. That you have a reaction is normal but to submit to reactions is a sign of weaknesses. No one has the right to stop the will of God in your life.

The scripture we read today says, we must be sober and be vigilant. In other word, we must be humble enough to admit the need for battle in our life and we must learn to live ready. The word of God instructed us to resist the devil steadfastly. Which means don’t take it easy with the devil. We are to resist the devil when we have ungodly or unbiblical information coming to us (Matthew 16:23). This could be either inform of ungodly sensational feelings or confusing information contrary to the word of God (Luke 4:8).

For us to be able to resist the devil we must do it in the faith we have in the word of God. Resisting the devil involves been vigilance. It involve declaring the word of God (Luke 4:4). Wisdom will rather prevent a problem than curing it. So the moment you sense any activities of the devil, stand against it by the word of God and by the Holy Spirit in you (Isaiah 59:19). Surely you are on the winning side (1 John 5:4). Peace!

Prayer: Lord, strengthen me for victory always

“WHATEVER YOU DON’T RESIST, YOU’VE RECEIVED”
