DRY MORSEL     Proverbs 17:1-5 Devotional:- Better is a dry morsel with quietness, Than a house full of feasting with strife. (V. 1 NKJV) 🎙 Victory Daily Devotional DRY MORSEL Support Us Proverbs 17:1-5 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com There is no one who doesn't like to have a house already furnished and well perfected. We all like to work in a well-equipped office. This same thing applies to where we live. Everyone wants to live in a tastefully furnished and decorated house. Some singles want to marry a partner who is well-to-do, who has all the good things of life. (Proverbs 15:16–17) We often don't bother about how do the people come into contact with what they have, nor do we bother about the problems associated with such a place or life before we readily agree to park in it. RESISTING

RESISTING

1 Peter 5:5-11
Dev:- “Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world” (V. 9)

Every action will always command reaction. That is why a child of God is known by his ability to stand and resist the activities of the devil around his life. That you have a reaction is normal but to submit to reactions is a sign of weaknesses. No one has the right to stop the will of God in your life.

The scripture we read today says, we must be sober and be vigilant. In other word, we must be humble enough to admit the need for battle in our life and we must learn to live ready. The word of God instructed us to resist the devil steadfastly. Which means don’t take it easy with the devil. We are to resist the devil when we have ungodly or unbiblical information coming to us (Matthew 16:23). This could be either inform of ungodly sensational feelings or confusing information contrary to the word of God (Luke 4:8).

For us to be able to resist the devil we must do it in the faith we have in the word of God. Resisting the devil involves been vigilance. It involve declaring the word of God (Luke 4:4). Wisdom will rather prevent a problem than curing it. So the moment you sense any activities of the devil, stand against it by the word of God and by the Holy Spirit in you (Isaiah 59:19). Surely you are on the winning side (1 John 5:4). Peace!

Prayer: Lord, strengthen me for victory always
