WAITING ON THE LORD 2 Samuel 5:1-10 Devotional:- “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years” (v.4) NKJV One of the good virtues of God we must always appreciate is His faithfulness. God is not a man that will lie; whatever He has said in His word, He is able to do and He shall do. You can always plug yourself into His promises as much as you work in His covenants. I always tell people never to think God’s word is written only to some specific persons we hear or read about in the Bible. The word of God is the standard practice and programme of God. They were only privileged to be the ones to receive the word at their time, but God is still the same, and so is His word. In claiming the word of God, you must learn to be able to patiently wait. People who will retain their joy must add this virtue to their life (Hebrews 6:12). HOPE IN GOD

Psalm 131:1-3
Devotional:- “O Israel, hope in the LORD From this time forth and forever” (v. 3)


    As a Christian, consecrated unto the Lord, it is important we put our total hope in God. The situation around us or the experiences we passed through sometimes attempt to make us to put our hope in other things. That is why you must totally commit yourself unto God and disallow your hope in the Lord from been distracted.

The Psalmist have decided to put His hope in the God of Israel. Each one who want to follow the Lord must be willing to do this. To put your hope in Him is to put your expectations and desires in the Lord. It means to depend on Him to bring us into the glorious end. 

To hope in the Lord means to refuse to shift your hope from the Lord. (Zachariah 9:12). Surely, those who put their hope in God will not be put to shame (Romans 10:11) Refuse to take your eyes off Jesus (Hebrew 12:2). Soon you shall become a testimony for all to see. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me to hope in you forever 

“YOU WILL BE ATTACHED TO THE ONE YOU ARE HOPING IN”

FOLLOWING CHRIST                   Luke 14:25-33 Devotional Verse:- "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple” (Vs. 26)      God has enthroned Jesus as King of kings and the Lord of lords (Revelation 17:14). Jesus earned this office by becoming the sacrificial Lamb of God for the salvation and redemption of man (Phil. 2:7-11). Therefore, every citizen of the kingdom of God must be followers and disciples of Jesus.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
