ACKNOWLEDGING HIM

ACKNOWLEDGING HIM Proverbs 3:1-8  Devotional:- “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (v.6) KJV. To be able to enjoy God’s loving kindness, all of us must learn to always acknowledge God in all our decision-making. This simply means that we recognise Him as our owner and the one who is qualified to instruct us on where to turn. When we gave our lives to Christ, we all confessed Jesus as our Lord. This means we acknowledge Him as the one who has the final decision over our lives. But we often forget to carry Him along in making decisions that will, in the end, have a great adverse effect on our lives. If we are to enjoy the love and the goodness of the Lord, we must learn to acknowledge Him. And this is by patiently asking Him for His instructions for us. The truth is that He will always guide us. He said, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalms 32:8). The truth is that you are gu...

JUSTIFICATION

JUSTIFICATION

Romans 2:1-15
Dev:- for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; (v.13)

Every kingdom citizen must seek to be justified before the Lord. To be justified is to be made right before God. It is only those who are made right with God that can be right before God. If anyone is not right before God, he/she cannot see God. This is the important of justification.

In the Old Testament the children of Israel were justified by obeying the law. And because no one could perfectly obey the law, no one could be justified by the law (Galatians 3:11). If you obey nine out of ten, you cannot be justified and it therefore made it difficult to attain.

The New Testament offers man justification by faith without the law (Romans 3:28). It is by faith in the finished work of the cross. We believe that Jesus died and rose for us. In this we believe if we sin the blood of Jesus cleanses us (1 John 1:7-9). We are justified before God as we accept forgiveness of our sins by our faith on the work of the cross. By this we have peace with God (Romans 5:1). We don't have to go about feeling guilty of sin when we have repented (turn away) from them. As we repent and forsake sin, we receive forgiveness through Christ Jesus. We are justified and made right with God by faith in Christ Jesus. Peace!

Prayer: Lord help me to receive your justification by faith.
