THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. ENERGY OF LIFE

ENERGY OF LIFE

Deuteronomy 8:1-10
Devotional:- “So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord” (V. 3)

We all need to understand what the energy of life is. We all desire to pursue and achieve some things in life. But it is important that we realize that the car that is running around is doing that on an energy supplied. Every moving equipment does that, by depending on one source of the energy or the other.

The energy of life always come through information (Proverbs 24:5). This is not mere information but spirited information (John 6:63). Such information transmit the spirit in it to the hearer. That is why if a man keep listening to a drunker he will soon drink (Proverbs 13:20). That is why we hear the word of God and it produces faith in us (Romans 10:17). That is why we get fired up when we hear the word of God in the house of the Lord (Psalm 84:7).

For the sake of our study let us focus on three type of information. The evil or negative information, the academic information and the godly information. You will discover that not many academic information produces tangible results but the godly and evil ones are evidential. For us as children of God the word of God is the source of our energy. It build faith and courage in us (Proverbs 24:5, Romans 10:17). It fuel us with wisdom and understanding (Psalm 119:97-100). That is why you cannot do without the word of God for your strength in life. And you will always overcome (1 John 5:4). Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to always tap into the strength of your word
