  MY REFUGE Psalms 46:1-7 Devotional:- "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (V. 1) It is always very easy for men to say God is not good to them when they have a pressing need. But if you observe it carefully, wisdom will let you always appreciate Him. It is not every one that began this year that is still alive now. Many were faced with challenges greater than themselves and were swallowed up. If you listen to the reasons for their falls, they are not too great. The truth is that you also have passed through challenges greater than theirs, but God was your refuge. Anytime you run to Him, you will find a hiding place in Him. Even when it looks like the situation wants to swallow you, you still find strength for help in God. Do you know that you have been enjoying His refuge not because you are better but because He loves you? No matter what happens, do not be afraid, your lover is your refuge. ENERGY OF LIFE

Deuteronomy 8:1-10
Devotional:- “So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord” (V. 3)


    We all need to understand what the energy of life is. We all desire to pursue and achieve some things in life. But it is important that we realize that the car that is running around is doing that on an energy supplied. Every moving equipment does that, by depending on one source of the energy or the other.

 The energy of life always come through information (Proverbs 24:5). This is not mere information but spirited information (John 6:63). Such information transmit the spirit in it to the hearer. That is why if a man keep listening to a drunker he will soon drink (Proverbs 13:20). That is why we hear the word of God and it produces faith in us (Romans 10:17). That is why we get fired up when we hear the word of God in the house of the Lord (Psalm 84:7).

For the sake of our study let us focus on three type of information. The evil or negative information, the academic information and the godly information. You will discover that not many academic information produces tangible results but the godly and evil ones are evidential. For us as children of God the word of God is the source of our energy. It build faith and courage in us (Proverbs 24:5, Romans 10:17). It fuel us with wisdom and understanding (Psalm 119:97-100). That is why you cannot do without the word of God for your strength in life. And you will always overcome (1 John 5:4). Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to always tap into the strength of your word

“WHEN THE ENERGY IS EXHAUSTED, THE ENGINE WILL HAVE TO STOP”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
