That is, they get annoyed and refuse to relate to one another. Many of us have some people we don’t greet now on this account. Some people have taken offence at their parents and relations, and they refused to relate to them. The truth is that if you know the harm you are doing to yourself by so doing, you will give up on this.   In the scripture we read today, John the Baptist was not happy because Jesus did not come to rescue him from prison, and he took offence at Christ. He sent messengers to Jesus to ask if He was the Christ or not. This question see...

SANCTIFICATION

SANCTIFICATION

2 Chronicles 29:3-19
Dev:- And they gathered their brethren, sanctified themselves, and went according to the commandment of the king, at the words of the LORD, to cleanse the house of the LORD. (v.15)

It is very important as we wait for the coming of Jesus that we sanctify ourselves unto God. To sanctify oneself is to decide to separate oneself unto God. The word sanctification means separation. Many people follows the Lord but not many are separated unto Him. To sanctify yourself unto God is to consciously see yourself as belonging to the Lord.

There are two spirits that rules the world, the spirit of God and of the devil. Either of these two spirit rules in the life of all humanity without knowing. The spirit of the devil often want to come in to control the life of people and this can happen to anyone who is not careful (Mark 8:33). That is why you must consciously sanctify yourself unto the Lord.

In sanctification you determine and separate yourself unto God. This will make you look out for any activities of the devil around you and reject it. In your mind you must see yourself belonging only to the Lord (Ephesians 5:11). You must not have anything to do with the work of darkness. No matter who is advising you when you are sanctified to the Lord you will want to discern the spirit (Gen. 39:7-12). The attitude of Joseph, Daniel and the three Hebrew was because they sanctify (separated) themselves unto the Lord. This are the kind of people Jesus is coming for.  Be prepared!

Prayer: Lord I receive grace to sanctify myself unto you.

"IF YOU ARE NOT SEPARATED UNTO SOMETHING, THEN YOU ARE SEPARATED TO ANOTHER”
