TRANSFORMED BY TROUBLE

TRANSFORMED BY TROUBLE 2 Corinthians 4:7-18 Devotional:- “For our present troubles are small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” (V. 17) NLT  God has a purpose behind every problem. God depends more on circumstances to grow our character than reading the Bible; this is because we have challenging circumstances twenty four seven. The word of God made us to see challenges in our life as normal (1 Peter 4:18). Your deepest expression of worship is mostly in the darkest days. It is during suffering that we learn to pray our most authentic, heart-felt and honest prayers to God (James 5:16). God would have kept Jeremiah from the throne to the pit, Joseph from been thrown into the jail, Paul from been shipwrecked or the three Hebrew from been thrown into the fire but he left those problems to himself. You will never know that God is all you need until God is all you have.  Everything that happens to you has spir...

UNTO THE LORD

UNTO THE LORD

Colossians 3:18-25
Devotional Verse: -“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men” (V. 23)

Service is of the Lord and can only be rewarded by the Lord. The term service in our world connotes weakness and defeat. But service in God’s term is the route to greatness. That is why service cannot be done in a worldly way. We need to do it in the kingdom pattern and have this mindset.

The Bible says, our service should be unto the Lord and not unto men. This means, we should not serve to please men but to please God who wired us and sent us. If anyone always wants to please people with his service, it will not be appreciated and people could totally discourage you. Sometimes, there is no one to encourage your services. But when your focus of service is unto the Lord, you will no more over expect from men and you will no longer be discouraged.

Friend, looking at men to serve the Lord will always be frustrating. When it comes to service, God is your rewarder. Don't mind the mockery of men. Don't mind the statement of people. Focus your service on the Lord. Only make sure you are making profit. Soon, your promotion will come. (Psalms 45:6-7). Don't join the ungodly attitude in service. Your promotion will soon come. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me a humble heart to serve in your house
