RELEASING OTHERS

RELEASING OTHERS Matthew 18:21-35   Devotional:- "So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses” (V. 35) NKJV Men can easily shout, “Away with him, kill him,” to others because they are not the offender. Very many parents will bitterly discipline their children for an offence they too have committed in the past, for which they were not killed. It is always easy to be a judge, though most judges cannot stand the face of trial. That is why the word of God instructs us not to judge others (Matthew 7:1-6). The scripture we read today reveals the wickedness of men. A man who owed his master so much, just like we all owe God so much. He was forgiven by his master, but cannot forgive his fellow servant. He rather locked him up in police custody for torment. His master heard and also reversed his decision on him for judgement.  Friend, who are the people you have refused to forgive? No matter what they...

FAITHFULNESS

FAITHFULNESS

Matthew 24:45-51
Devotional Verse: -"Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season” (V.45)

As steward of Christ, it is required that we are faithful in all our services (1 Corinthians 4:1-2). In rendering a service to God, faithfulness to God is not replaceable. Unfaithfulness is considered an act of wickedness in the word of God. That is why each of us must understand what it is to be faithful. To be faithful is to remain firm in your belief in someone. It is to have unwavering commitment to your assignment with a person or an organization.

The word of God described faithful servants to be the one that his master has committed a task to his hand and he will remain committed to the work. The reason it will be possible to remain committed to serve to the end is because, you believe in the success of the task. It is because you can see the future result of the work. Faithful servants always stay strong to complete their work, fulfill their responsibilities, keep their promises and stay committed to the end. They are trust worthy and dependable.

Friend, it is important you develop the attitude of faithfulness in your service to God either in the house of the Lord or in your office. Remember that, only the faithful servants will be rewarded and be promoted (Matthew 25:21). God watches our faithfulness to qualify us for true riches (Luke 16:11-12). God also check our faithfulness to service as what qualifies us for our own blessing. Always put in your best to be faithful in all you do. You should be doing service as if it is your thing. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me a faithful heart in service
