TRANSFORMED BY TROUBLE

TRANSFORMED BY TROUBLE 2 Corinthians 4:7-18 Devotional:- “For our present troubles are small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” (V. 17) NLT  God has a purpose behind every problem. God depends more on circumstances to grow our character than reading the Bible; this is because we have challenging circumstances twenty four seven. The word of God made us to see challenges in our life as normal (1 Peter 4:18). Your deepest expression of worship is mostly in the darkest days. It is during suffering that we learn to pray our most authentic, heart-felt and honest prayers to God (James 5:16). God would have kept Jeremiah from the throne to the pit, Joseph from been thrown into the jail, Paul from been shipwrecked or the three Hebrew from been thrown into the fire but he left those problems to himself. You will never know that God is all you need until God is all you have.  Everything that happens to you has spir...

PROMOTION

PROMOTION

Genesis 39:1-6
Devotional Verse:-“So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority” (V. 4)

No one enjoys a stagnant life. No one wants a life that is not moving forward. God designs your life to be progressive (Proverbs 4:18). That is why you must work in the wisdom of God for your promotion. There is God factor concerning your life and there are factors you have to take steps about. It is in using what God has giving to you that you become better and you can grow up better (Hebrews 5:14).

We saw in the bible how Joseph was sold to slavery by his brothers (Genesis 37:26-28). Notwithstanding the situation of Joseph, he was wise enough to give himself to service in the house of Potiphar. As Joseph served faithfully, God brought him into promotion (Genesis 39:4). No matter what people have done to you, all you need to do is to give yourself to service and God will promote you (Psalms 75:6-7).

Men’s promotion may be temporary, but God’s promotion is permanent (Ezekiel 3:14). It is therefore important that you humble yourself to serve. This is not limited only to house of the Lord. Serving God is doing your work or business with the motive of serving the Lord. This is doing your work not as men pleasers, but as pleasing the Lord (Ephesians 6:5-8). Stop doing what you are doing just for the sake of money. Yes, you should make profit in all your endeavors. But let your motive be to work as service unto God. Then, your promotion will come (Mark 10:44-45). Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, let my promotion come from you
