RIGHT VIEW Matthew 25:14-30 Devotional:- “And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey” (V.15)  Please note that there is a way that you view life. The truth is that your view of life goes a long way to determine how you invest your time, money talents and value your relationships. People see life from different perspectives. Some sees life as up and down. Some see life as a game so they always play as it comes; some sees life as a place of party, so regular party becomes their priority. Those who see life as battle will have winning as their priority.  People expresses their view and value of life through their kind of cloths, jewelry, cars, hairstyle, tattoos or car stickers but how do God wants us to view life. From our scripture today Jesus gave a parable of how the kingdom of God is and how we should view life. He likened the kingdom of God to a man who is embarking o...

PROMOTION

PROMOTION

Genesis 39:1-6
Devotional Verse:-“So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority” (V. 4)

No one enjoys a stagnant life. No one wants a life that is not moving forward. God designs your life to be progressive (Proverbs 4:18). That is why you must work in the wisdom of God for your promotion. There is God factor concerning your life and there are factors you have to take steps about. It is in using what God has giving to you that you become better and you can grow up better (Hebrews 5:14).

We saw in the bible how Joseph was sold to slavery by his brothers (Genesis 37:26-28). Notwithstanding the situation of Joseph, he was wise enough to give himself to service in the house of Potiphar. As Joseph served faithfully, God brought him into promotion (Genesis 39:4). No matter what people have done to you, all you need to do is to give yourself to service and God will promote you (Psalms 75:6-7).

Men’s promotion may be temporary, but God’s promotion is permanent (Ezekiel 3:14). It is therefore important that you humble yourself to serve. This is not limited only to house of the Lord. Serving God is doing your work or business with the motive of serving the Lord. This is doing your work not as men pleasers, but as pleasing the Lord (Ephesians 6:5-8). Stop doing what you are doing just for the sake of money. Yes, you should make profit in all your endeavors. But let your motive be to work as service unto God. Then, your promotion will come (Mark 10:44-45). Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, let my promotion come from you
