DEFINE PLEASURE  Proverbs 21:12-21 Devotional:- “He who loves pleasure will be a poor man; He who loves wine and oil will not be rich.” (v. 17) NKJV 🎙 Victory Daily Devotional DEFINE PLEASURE Support Us Proverbs 21:12-21 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com There is nothing wrong with pleasure, but there is a need to define what it means in a way that it will not bring destruction to you. Pleasure to most people means idleness, sleeping, jesting, watching T.V and all sorts of films, extravagant spending at beer parlous and hotels, eating in all the city kitchens and to some it is just travelling all around. The truth is that none of those things are real pleasure. If those things are what you call pleasures, then, no matter how much you have now, poverty and sorrow are on the way. PREPARING FOR GREATNESS

PREPARING FOR GREATNESS

Genesis 40:4-15
Devotional Verse:-“And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them; so they were in custody for a while” (V. 4)

Service will prepare you for greatness. Service is a ladder to be used to climb to greatness. Service gives a man the opportunity to meet and fellowship with great people. This will start to reveal to you the way and wisdom of the great. This will begin to connect you to great people, and opportunity for greatness will present themselves to you.

God was orchestrating the way of Joseph into greatness. As a foreigner, it may not be easy to take him directly to the palace. But God allowed him to be pushed to the prison. At the same time, God made Pharaoh’s servant to be pushed to the same prison. Joseph was made to serve Pharaoh’s servant in the prison (Genesis 40:4). By service, Joseph became connected with these palace servants. All these happened because the Lord is preparing him for the coming greatness.

Friend, whatever anybody think he/she is doing against you, all shall work together for your good (Romans 8:28). It was in the prison that Joseph learnt management procedure. This was because he releases himself for service. Friend, release yourself for service wherever you may be and God will prepare you for greatness. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me a humble heart to serve for my greatness.

“THE CHEAPEST ROUTE TO GREATNESS IS SERVICE”
