MADE TO SERVE GOD 1 Corinthians 3:5-17 Devotional:- “For we are both God's workers. And you are God's field. You are God's building. (V.9 NLT) God put you on earth to make contributions and make a difference with your life. Another purpose of your life is to serve the Lord wherever you are. You are created to add to the earth and not just to take from it. This purpose of your life is called ministry or service. It is very important that you live in this consciousness, you were created to serve God (Ephesians 2:10). Wherever you are either in the school or in the office, be sure you are serving God and fulfilling your purpose.  God saved you to serve Him. Your work, business or academic is also a work and a service to the Lord (Ephesians 6:5-7). God redeemed you to do His holy work everywhere in your life. PREPARING FOR GREATNESS

PREPARING FOR GREATNESS

Genesis 40:4-15
Devotional Verse:-“And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them; so they were in custody for a while” (V. 4)

Service will prepare you for greatness. Service is a ladder to be used to climb to greatness. Service gives a man the opportunity to meet and fellowship with great people. This will start to reveal to you the way and wisdom of the great. This will begin to connect you to great people, and opportunity for greatness will present themselves to you.

God was orchestrating the way of Joseph into greatness. As a foreigner, it may not be easy to take him directly to the palace. But God allowed him to be pushed to the prison. At the same time, God made Pharaoh’s servant to be pushed to the same prison. Joseph was made to serve Pharaoh’s servant in the prison (Genesis 40:4). By service, Joseph became connected with these palace servants. All these happened because the Lord is preparing him for the coming greatness.

Friend, whatever anybody think he/she is doing against you, all shall work together for your good (Romans 8:28). It was in the prison that Joseph learnt management procedure. This was because he releases himself for service. Friend, release yourself for service wherever you may be and God will prepare you for greatness. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me a humble heart to serve for my greatness.
