TRANSFORMED BY TROUBLE

TRANSFORMED BY TROUBLE 2 Corinthians 4:7-18 Devotional:- “For our present troubles are small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” (V. 17) NLT  God has a purpose behind every problem. God depends more on circumstances to grow our character than reading the Bible; this is because we have challenging circumstances twenty four seven. The word of God made us to see challenges in our life as normal (1 Peter 4:18). Your deepest expression of worship is mostly in the darkest days. It is during suffering that we learn to pray our most authentic, heart-felt and honest prayers to God (James 5:16). God would have kept Jeremiah from the throne to the pit, Joseph from been thrown into the jail, Paul from been shipwrecked or the three Hebrew from been thrown into the fire but he left those problems to himself. You will never know that God is all you need until God is all you have.  Everything that happens to you has spir...

RESIST THE DEVIL

RESIST THE DEVIL

1 Peter 5:5-11
Devotional verse: “Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world” (v. 9).

A major responsibility you have towards the devil is to resist him. You have nothing to do together with him than to cast him out. Whenever you sense his activities, the Bible didn’t tell you to fear him or beg or appease him but resist him (James 4:7).
Any other thing you are doin with the devil will put you in further trouble. To resist is not the same as chasing. It is actually to command, throw off, or stand against, disallow, give no room or stop the devil. This is possible because, Christ has given us authority over him (Like 10:19), Christ defeated him on the Cross, Christ disarmed him (Colossians 2:15), Christ took all the authority Adam and Eve gave him over man and give it to us. Now we are sited far above him (Ephesians 2:6), we are no longer class mate by the great I AM in us. (1 John 4:4).
Stop getting scared of him, the devil is a tooth–less animal (Colossians 2:15). Don’t be intimidated by the big title in his kingdom (principalities and powers, witches and wizards etc). Their surname is devil who is under your feet (Romans 15:20). Our scriptures today instruct us to resist him always. This you should do in speaking the word of God in prayers by faith. (Luke 4:4). Peace”!

Prayer: Lord, strengthen me to resist the enemy always.
