BEWARE OF SCIENCE

1Timothy 6:11-21
Devotional verse: “O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings, and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge” (v. 20)



  God is the author of all forms of wisdom, including Science. Science is using our natural discovery of nature to solve human problem. God told Adam, have dominion over all things and subdue them (Genesis 1:28). In other word, use them for your advantage. Because of this grace given to man, many have thought that there is no need for God any more. Thinking all solution can come from nature through science.

    Actually, from the beginning of the fall of Adam, the devil often wants to make man feel there is no need for God in our lives. (Romans 1:28). That is why you cannot put your total trust in science but in God. (Psalm 125:1).

    The medical science has been doing very well. I like to say, it is an aspect of care that can bring a cure, yet it has its own limitation without God (Pro. 21:30). Science is a product of human discoveries that changes from time to time. Only God’s words abide forever. Today they will say something is good and tomorrow they will say it’s bad. Even if you are using drug for a cure, please, trust God to work through the drug. The drug will only work when God works through it. Remember, God is your healer and that is why all glory must be given to Him. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to always believe you for my healing.

“TRUST IS MORE VALUABLE WHEN IT IS ON A SURE WORD”.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

  DOMINION   Psalms 8:1-9 Devotional:- “You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet” (V. 6) NKJV      At creation, man was given dominion over all that God created. This office was at that time a terrifying one for other creatures and even the devil. (Psalms 8.6; Psalms 110:1-3). It was this office that the devil was after that he had to deceive man and steal. You will observe that man was the last creature of God (Genesis 1:26). Yet he was made to have dominion over all that existed before him. The devil saw this as partiality on the side of God. He did not know that though man was the last creation yet the finest. The man was finally created to be in charge of all creation.
