Another look at opportunity is ridiculous service. When a child of God prays, God could bring the answer in the form of serving someone. God often hide promotion or answers to our prayers in veiled opportunities. We will be wise to take good advantage of such a situation (Proverbs 21:2). That is why all God’s children must love to serve. If you read through the Bible, you will observe that promotion always comes to those who faithfully serve.

Joseph found himself in a situation where he had to be the servant in the house. He didn’t see it as a curse. Rather, he saw it as a blessing in disguise. At least the house provided shelter. He put in his best and began to earn his promotion. He became a manager in that house.

Do not allow pride to destroy your opportunity. Stop avoiding serving; love it. The new assignment given to you is an opportunity. Instead of grumbling and complaining, rise to it with joy. Stop seeing service as evil or a demotion. Do it with all your heart; I mean doing service right from your heart as unto the Lord (Ephesians 16:6-8). It is for a while. Soon your promotion shall come, and others will serve you also. It may look ridiculous, but it will produce the miraculous. It’s your day!

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to enjoy serving you and others wholeheartedly.

“SERVICE IS ALWAYS A TEST TO YOUR NEXT LEVEL”
