COMPARISM

COMPARISM 2 Corinthians 10:7-18 Devotional:- “Oh, don't worry; we wouldn't dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!” (v.12) NLT. Man, by his complexity, sometimes creates complications for himself in life. One of the things we often do incorrectly is to measure our lives by comparing them to other people’s lives. We often forget that we are sent for a different purpose, so our goals and objectives cannot be the same. There is nothing wrong with trying to gauge your level of performance against others in the same field. But it will be completely wrong for you to determine whether you are a failure or a success by the life of another man. Paul, the apostle of Christ, knows that his own purpose and program are from the Lord and are different from what others have been given. For example, if some apostles were marr...

BE STRONG

BE STRONG

Ephesians 6:10-20
Devotional verse: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” (v. 10)

The nature of the kingdom of God demands that every citizen should be strong. Those who takes their place in this kingdom takes it by force (Matthew 11:12).             This is because the kingdom has unrepented and un-relented enemy call the devil (1 Peter 5:8). That is why you cannot afford to be weak as a Christian. We must wake up and be strong in our faith in the word of God (Ephesians 6:16).

Whoever that want to participate in the kingdom of God, must be ready to grow. Gone are those days someone says he is a Christian and someone will help you speak to your father to tell you what your father is saying. That’s a middle man, but it proves you are not a legitimate child. Gone are those days when you contract prayer out or someone meet you and tells you, God said I should tell you and you can’t confirm yourself.

If God is your father, then set your heart to know Him, you really don’t need a middle man. Men of God are to represent and not to replace our God. To be strong, you must study about your father through His word.  Pick books that teaches you about Him (Daniel 11:32), Then regularly relate with Him in praise and prayers. Serve Him in the church and keep fellowship with people of the same father with you. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, increase my strength in you.
